Warne Out From Fracture

Shane Warne was the skipper of the Rest of the XI side in a much hyped 50-over encounter against MCC, but, unfortunately, he got his hand fractured while batting in that match and could not spend a single minute in the field while his team was bowling.

Warne’s team had batted first in and with the help of the knocks played by Yuvraj Singh and Paul Collingwood; they had managed to go past the score of 250.

Just a few deliveries before the completion of the innings, Yuvraj got out off the bowling of Sachin Tendulkar which brought Warne onto the wicket. He had come out to bat at no. 9 and the first bowler that he got to face was Brett Lee.

Lee attempted a Yorker first up to Warne, but, the ball perhaps slipped out of his hand and turned into a beamer. It was a real quick delivery and it went on to hit Warne straight on to his hands.

That was a very painful blow as Warne was shaking his hands, but, he didn’t take his gloves off and at that point of time, it seemed as if he was alright. He continued batting and even scored some runs, but, during the innings break, he was taken to the hospital for X-ray and it was found out that there was fracture in his hands. So, he didn’t come out to bowl during the innings of the MCC XI which was being led by Sachin Tendulkar.

A lot of people out there were looking forward to the contest between Warne and Sachin, but, they were not able to watch that and they were gutted about it.

Warne and Sachin used to share intense rivalry between them during their playing days.
